Vang Vieng Santara Backpackers Hostel

My recent stay at Vangvieng Backpackers was fantastic. I stayed for a few days and found the hotel to be excellent value for money. The rooms were basic but well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. Despite being on the main road, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The included breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of options. The pool was a great addition, providing a refreshing escape from the heat. The location was also convenient, with easy access to the bus drop off, walking street, market, and plenty of dining options nearby.

I would recommend this hotel.

For the price we paid, we got excellent value and a well-maintained room that had everything we needed. The location was convenient, right in the center but still peaceful.

The hostel itself offered a variety of great value activity options. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with a choice of dishes. Another great feature was the nice pool, perfect for a quiet and relaxing swim. my stay at Vangvieng Backpackers was a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

vangvieng backpackers was the perfect base for exploring vang vieng - great location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. the pool and pool table were a bonus. highly recommend the chicken burger!

Temperature in room was freezing cold at first.

It was conveniently located near cheap eatery options and the room provided ample space for us to relax and unwind. getting a scooter was easy, making it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. The pool was also clean and inviting, perfect for a refreshing swim.

The breakfast service was disorganized and often took over 30 minutes to receive our food.

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel in Vang Vieng. the location was perfect, situated on a lively street with plenty of restaurants and mini markets, yet surprisingly quiet. the beds were comfortable and provided privacy with curtains. the in-room bathrooms were convenient, and the included breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. the staff were extremely helpful and assisted us with tickets, rentals, and tours. it was excellent value for money and we highly recommend Vangvieng Backpackers. Cons: Nothing - all good! 😊.

Worst aspects of my stay included unwelcoming staff at reception and some issues with the room. The mattress and duvet had a moldy smell, even after the staff changed the sheets and duvet cover.
